Practice Areas
We advise and represent individuals and companies from all over Germany and from abroad, many of them with a connection to Turkey. To do so, we work within a network of colleagues in Germany and in Istanbul.
Criminal Defence
We defend suspects and defendants in all areas of criminal law, in particular in homicide and bodily harm cases. We support you at every stage: the investigation, the trial and any appeal. This includes particularly complex cases and cases attracting considerable public attention.
House searches
If your home or business is searched, we are there for you. Call us before you say anything about the matter or sign anything. We clarify what the investigators are allowed to do, protect your rights and, where necessary, object to any seizure. What you should do yourself is explained in our FAQ.
Drug Offences
We defend clients in proceedings under the German Narcotics Act (BtMG) and the Cannabis Act, from charges of possession to dealing in significant quantities. Early defence often determines whether pre-trial detention is ordered and how severe the sentence will be. We also check whether "treatment instead of punishment" under Section 35 BtMG is an option.
Traffic Offences
We defend clients charged with traffic offences such as drink-driving, driving without a licence, leaving the scene of an accident, coercion or negligent bodily harm on the road. We also keep an eye on the consequences for your driving licence, such as a driving ban or the withdrawal of the licence.
Business and Tax Criminal Law
We defend clients in white-collar crime and tax criminal proceedings, for example on suspicion of breach of trust, fraud, tax evasion, accounting offences or corruption. Such cases require economic as well as legal expertise. We bring many years of experience, supported by a background in business administration and practical experience in management and compliance.
Appeals on Points of Law (Revision)
We review criminal judgments for errors of law and represent you in appeal proceedings (Revision). Under German law, the appeal must be lodged within one week of the judgment being pronounced and, as a rule, its grounds must be filed within one month of service of the written judgment. Please contact us as early as possible.
Joint-Plaintiff and Victim Representation
We represent victims of crime as joint plaintiffs (Nebenkläger) and enforce their rights in criminal proceedings. Unlike many firms that specialise in defence, we know both sides of the proceedings. This dual perspective is part of our core profile, for example in the NSU trial, after the Hanau attack and in the trial over the Solingen arson attack.
Administrative Fine and Regulatory Offence Proceedings
We defend clients in administrative fine and regulatory offence proceedings, for example traffic offences or fines imposed on companies.
Business Law
We advise companies, investors and founders, including those from Turkey, on business projects in Germany:
- Company formation and acquisitions
- Investment and subsidy advice
- Advice for start-ups
- Business immigration: residence and work permits for skilled workers, executives, investors and the self-employed, for example after setting up a company in Germany
- Debt collection
General Civil Law and Contract Law
We advise and represent clients in civil-law disputes and in drafting and reviewing contracts.
Employment Law
We advise and represent both employees and employers, for example in unfair dismissal claims, termination agreements, employment disputes and ongoing employment-law advice for companies.
Law at the Intersection of Business and Politics
For cases that go beyond classic legal advice – for example politically or publicly exposed matters, business decisions with regulatory risk, or the intersection of legal defence and strategic communication – we bring additional experience from business and politics. Dr. Daimagüler's long-standing network in politics and the media supports the strategic assessment of cases attracting public attention. As a former Federal Government Commissioner, he also knows from his own experience how ministries and public administration work.
